Roles available: Parts for 14 to 25-year-olds who will be playing older than their years. Five men, two women and one role that can be either.

In the 1929 play that inspired Alfred Hitchcock to make his classic crime thriller, two Oxford undergraduates murder a fellow student for the mere sake of adventure, danger, and the “fun of the thing”. They hide the body in a chest and invite a small circle of the victim’s friends and family to a party, the chest acting as the buffet’s centrepiece. But one of their guests becomes suspicious.
